Duty Planning
Duty Planning
This module allows you to plan duties. It is a timeline.
You can create rosters, and see who is on duty and when.
The duty times created in the ‘Crew Members’ module, will also appear here.
The order in which the crew members are displayed is set in the ‘Crew Members’ module.
First, you need to set up duty types in the associated panel, on the right.
Switch to edit mode and click on the Plus button on the panel.
A new line appears, fill it in.
It is important to set the start and end times if you know them (to predict more precisely if the limitations will be exceeded, for example).
Tick or untick the ‘Workable’ box to allow the system to know which pilots are available if you need to book a flight, for example.
When in edit mode, double-click on the appropriate cell of the timeline to create a new appointment.
You can extend or reduce the size of a cell by modifying the scale width in the main ribbon.
You can set a recurrence to avoid creating several appointments of the same type for the same crew member and location.
Tick the ‘Recurrence’ box, and fill in the days and times fields.
Example: Every 2 days for the next 10 occurrences.
You can select the duties, press the ‘ctrl’ key and drag your mouse to duplicate the duties for another pilot (even on other days).
You can click on a duty and drag your mouse to the left or right to extend or shorten the duration.
If you open the ‘Duty Time’ tab in the ‘Crew Members’ module, you will see the appointments you have just planned. Their status is ‘planned’ (the calendar-shaped flag is red) but can be changed if the pilot overrides the spent duty period.
