Crew Activity
Crew Activity
This module allows you to know at a glance if everything is all right with crew members’ flight duty period, flight time limitation, certificates… Anything.
On the right side, you have the certificates’ status.
It will show all the certificates that will be due within the next 90 days (for all the crew members).
That will be calculated thanks to the tracker of the ‘Crew Members’ module (‘Certificates/training’ tab).
All the experience rules reaching 20% max or min (depending on the setting) will be displayed in the ‘Experience Status (20%)’ section.
Each line of the ‘Crew Activity Dashboard’ represents one duty period for one pilot.
You can change the time range in the main ribbon by overriding the dates and clicking on ‘Refresh Data’.
The system calculates the max duty period based on the created OPS rules.
First leg and last leg will be updated according to the techlog created within the duty period.
Real Start and Real End are the actual start and end times.
Break time records the breaks taken during the duty period.
Ext 7 days: the system will count the number of extended duties in the past 7 days.
Min rest: Minimum rest
Rest: Actual rest
Last ext rest: last rest of more than 36 hours in the past 7 days.
When a cell is red, this is an alert to warn you that something has been exceeded.
You can extract a report by clicking on ‘Preview Print’ in the main ribbon.
Select the appropriate crew members on the left.
We will now see how to turn a planned duty into an actual one.
Before creating a techlog thanks to the iPad app, you need to make sure that the app’s settings are correct.
‘Show crew duty’ and ‘Autogenerate Crew Duty’ should be on.
Create a techlog with a flight.
The crew duty will be automatically created and visible in the ‘Crew Duties’ section on the right.
The total time is 1 hour before the start of the flight + the flight time + 30 minutes after the flight.
If you need to create a new flight with the same pilot, it will update the information.
Here you can see that we have created a new flight and the ‘Crew Duties’ section has been updated.
If you tap on the Crew Duty box, it will open it.
Duty on: 1 hour before the start of the first flight
Duty off: 30 minutes after the end of the second flight
The system automatically creates a break corresponding to the time spent between 2 flights.
Start: End of the first flight
End: Departure of the second flight
This will be taken into account to give you the possibility to extend your duty period.
You can override the value if needed.
